Rotaract Club of Marianas
Rotary International District 2750
WHAT WE DO

The Rotaract Club of Marianas, District 2750, is sponsored by the following Rotary clubs:

* Rotary Club of Guam,
* Rotary Club of Northern Guam,
* Rotary Club of Guam Sunrise, and
* Rotary Club of Tumon Bay.

Our goals and activities are centered around three major areas: professional development,
leadership development, and service projects.  With the help of our sponsoring clubs, the Rotaract
Club of Marianas seeks to provide important experience and opportunities for the personal
development of each Rotaractor.  With the understanding that today's youth will ultimately be our
leaders of tomorrow, the Rotaract Club of Marianas seeks to ensure attainment of necessary skills
and opportunities for each of our Rotaractors to become productive members of society.

Professional Development

Our club's activities seek to expand each of our members' understanding of the work environment
and business opportunities within our community and region.  These activities highlight a
member's role in our community's and region's economic development and illustrate how skills
developed through service activities can help in resolving problems in the workplace.  We are
looking provide professional development opportunities through the following services:
professional and vocational forums, business technology updates, management and marketing
seminars, conference on business and professional ethics, and information on presentations on
finance and credit options for business start-ups.

Leadership Development

Leadership development is essential in producing effective and efficient leaders.  Our club seeks to
provide our Rotaractors and our youth with leadership activities that will teach us how to develop
and sustain strong bond with other members of society and organizations.  The following
leadership skills are addressed: public speaking, techniques for marketing, delegation of
responsibilities and ensuring necessary follow-up, building trust, understanding differing
personalities, problem solving and decision making, communication, management, and developing
policies.

Service Projects

Service Above Self is Rotary's foremost guiding principle; the Rotaract Club of Marianas
progresses with that in mind.  Our activities are designed to improve the quality of life at home
and around the world.  We address issues that are close to home regarding education,
environment, homelessness and hunger, violence in the community and at home, etc.
